Just a Recorder - released 05.07.2008

A real nice little, but very
powerful, software audio recorder. Features a high-tech interface
that allows you to record from any source your sound card allows (i.e.
mic, speaker output, line in, etc...). Has an added feature (the KEEP
button) that saves just the last 5 minutes of the recording then
continues onward - handy for recording iNet radio broadcasts. When you
hear a song you want to save just click the KEEP button (will save the
last 5 mins of recording - named after the time recorded so will never
overwrite - then continue recording). It's a tool to accomplish saving a
tune that you wish you'd of recorded - just click the "KEEP"
button.
Advanced ID3 Tag Editor - released

This is a very advanced MP3/ WMA
ID tag editor. Allows editing/ adding/ changing advanced ID3 tags such
as adding the CD cover image and all other ID3 tags. Option to print the
Image tag for use of a CD cover. If you're into creating MP3 play-lists
this is a tool that is a "must have" ;-) such as
Advanced CD Tools -
released 05.07.2008

|
Audio Burner - use to create Audio CD's that can
be played with most any CD Player.
|
Audio Grabber - commonly know as a CD Ripper. Rip
your audio CD's to WAV or a selection of WMA sample rates in a heart beat!
|
|
Data Burner - use to archive your files (any
format) to CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM or
Blue-Ray CD disc. |
|
Get info of the data stored on a CD and/ or the
abilities of the CD Drive. |
Erase data from any CD that allows this action.
|
|
Image Builder - create an image (.iso file) of
data to allow creation of a CD. An ISO image is an archive file (a.k.a.
disk image) of data that can be written to disc. |
This set of advanced CD tools. OK - here's the deal. Unless a person is fairly
new to becoming a "computer guru" he/ she most likely has
burnt many data or audio CD's using their favorite CD Writer (Roxio,
Nero or even what is included within the Microsoft Windows OS). We, here
at Code-it, know that it is very hard for you to switch applications and
most likely will not even consider doing so. That's cool with us: we
have no desire to compete with the leading CD Writing software
developers in the world - we're very happy being considered close to the
top with our audio editing stuff;-)
BUT - some of you folks have
indeed requested that we make a more advanced version of CD Writing
software. So to those folks - this one's for you! It doesn't have a
fancy interface or even any help files - it's just a down to earth set
of tools for those that might want them.
Recorded Sound Editor v2.1 - version released
04.14.2008

This software is a very effective audio
recorder that includes a simple, but powerful editor that loads the recording as
soon as recording is stopped. Has lots of options to append, insert, mix
audio: even overlay background music to the recording or loaded file.
Easily record from a microphone, line-in jack
or speaker output (anything you can hear from your speakers like iNet radio). Great
for recording dictation or iNet radio broadcasts and the like.
Just some of it's features:
-
The recording session is performed storing
sound data in memory in WAV format. Session's parameters are by default
44100 Hz, Stereo, 16 bits
-
Save your recording as AAC, MP3, WAV, WMA
or OGG audio format. Set sample rate to fit your needs.
-
Through the 'Tools/Options...' menu item
you can change the input device and the relative input channel (set 'Record
Source' to 'What U Hear' to record iNet Radio as an example, Microphone to
record your voice, etc...).
-
You can start recording from the input
channel of choice pressing the 'Start' button. Includes a useful 'Pause'
button to pause and continue the recording.
-
You can initialize the recording session
contents through the 'File/Preload...' menu item. It's important to note
that, in order to fit future recording sessions, the preloaded sound will be
automatically re-sampled to 44100 Hz, Stereo, 16 bits
-
An alternative way to initialize the
recording session contents is through the 'Edit/Paste...' menu item
(obviously a CF_WAVE element must be available inside the clipboard).
-
You can select, through your mouse, a
portion of sound.
-
You can copy the selected portion of sound
into the clipboard through the 'Edit/Cut' and 'Edit/Copy' menu items.
-
You can resample and export the whole
sound, or a selected range, using the 'File/Resample and export...' menu
item.
-
Using the 'Tools' menu you can edit the
contents of the actual recording session.
-
The actual recording session can be
discarded from memory selecting the 'File/New' menu item: at this point a
new recording session will be initialized.
Disclaimer: not all sound cards support
recording from "Stereo Mix" (sometimes listed as "WhatUHear",
"Wave Out", etc..) - if you have one of these type cards you are
missing out on a lot! This option, as a record source, must be present to record
speaker output such as iNet radio.
2008 Planner

We have offered this amazing digital
yearly Planner and Address Book for several years now. It has generated
quite a "fan base" - many thousands of folks that just love
it!
It allows you to add/ edit addresses
as well as appointment entries (you can even print it out if you want):
very handy to install/ use on your laptop or any other system you have
"contact" with often.
Disclaimer: the entries that you put
within this application can not be transferred to the new/ next years
application. In other words - if you have the 2007 version that has a
lot of entries (addresses, appointments, etc...) you will have to
re-enter anything you want to keep into the new years (i.e. 2008
Planner) version. It is however possible to do this more or less
"automatically" but involves programming experience, with
certain data base type software, that the average bear does not have.
Has been tested to be
compatible with Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP & Vista (not tested on
Vista 64-bit).
Supporting file: you
MUST have THIS
small reader installed before the Planner will display properly!

"Digital Calendar" Windows software to any of you folks that

has the option to have it activate at Windows startup - sits in the
system tray as an icon at "the ready".
Has been tested to be
compatible with Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP & Vista (not tested on
Vista 64-bit).

Screen Recordster v4.1 -
new version released 10.21.2007

Screen Recordster is a tool used for recording
screen activity into a standard AVI video file that can be played within
any Microsoft Media Player or converted/ compressed for streaming off a
web site. If you move the cursor, launch a new program, type some text,
click a few buttons, or select some menus - anything that you see on
your screen – Screen Recordster will be able to record and allow you
to play them back later on. And that's not all! Record from the
microphone (or any record device supported by your sound card - i.e.
speaker output, line-in, stereo mix, etc.), as you record the video, to
have your audio instructions or background music / audio embedded within
the video. Pretty handy for recording a video you want off the net -
play the video and record!
Moving images/ video impact our lives heavily
nowadays. A changing image, especially with combined audio, speaks much
more than a stationary snapshot: immensely enhances the process of
communication. By capturing the moving action faithfully on your
computer screen, Screen Recordster is essentially putting this power
right onto your computer desktop. Great for teachers, tutors and such.
Oh, and here's an idea you might be interested
in: ever wanted to convert those Power Point presentations to flash so
that you can burn on a CD or stream off the iNet? I just got a spam
email letting me in on a application that does JUST that - I can get it
for a mere $199.00. I thought to myself "WOW - that's a cool
idea". But wait! This software (Screen Recordster) will do that
easily! Spend the 200 bucks? Don't think so.
Has been tested to be
compatible with Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP & Vista (not tested
on Vista 64-bit).
Requires: Window Media
format runtime >>> wmfdist.exe
& DirectX 9 >>> directx_9c.exe
or above runtime files installed (XP & Vista has by default).
Disclaimer: does not play
well on older/ slower systems due to the large amount of recourses need.

Lakhota Speakster v5.0 - new version released 09.04.2007

Want to learn simple Lakhota (American
Indian) words and phrases? Well folks, we first released this software
in 1997: there are many of you still getting use out of the old 16-bit
version. Due to many requests to upgrade to a more "modern
interface/ version" we just had to oblige - committing the 100's of
hours required. This new version doesn't just let you hear/ play the
word or phrase but delivers it via an array of flash videos (similar to
a sample on the "Details" page). Includes a massive
translation text dictionary as well.
Has been tested to be compatible with
Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP & Vista (not tested on Vista 64-bit).
A-Tech Software:
Code-it Software has been
a player in the development of Assistive Technology (A-Tech) software
since 1997. We were the first to release "talking" web
browsers (named 'Web Talkster' & 'Web Speakster') to aid children
with ADD, or folks with poor eye sight, to enjoy the web.
None of this software has
been tested on Vista 64-bit
