Sorry, but we are forced to suspend this re-branding service, for a undetermined time, due to so many contracts that we need to get completed.

Software Re-Branding or Development: If you are interested in re-branding any of our software or development of a new software solution - we can do it for a very low "one time" fee.

Here's how it works:

Our software re-branding is priced so that you can start making profits after just 250 or less sales (sold at the cost we estimate as a fair retail value). You pay a "one time" re-branding fee with no further "royalty" obligations to us.
We give you full resell rights to your branded version of the software: you are free to sell it however you see fit. Your sales choices are not restricted in any way, and we do not collect royalties, which means you can set your own price for the software and keep all the profits.
You choose the program name, company name, on-line help link and website associated with the software: we can customize many other features as well. Our name does not appear anywhere other then on the EULA as the copyright owner.
The copyright and source code remains the property of Code-it Software, Inc.: your re-branded software name will always be your property.
In addition to the full version of the software, we provide you with a demo (shareware) version that can be distributed freely. We offer a large variety of demo types so that you can choose which will best fit your needs.
User support/ help (of your branded software) is YOUR responsibility: usually the software will have a link to your on-line help/ support page. We will of course work with YOU on any issues, at no cost, but will not interact with YOUR customers unless you request us to do so.
We are committed to quality software that is exciting to consumers. Our software features stable programming, useful features, and outstanding user interfaces. Each of our titles uses a professional Microsoft Installer, the same installers used by major software corporations.
Fast turn-around: we can customize most any software feature of your new software. We strive to finish all custom programming and make your software available within 10 business days or less (time frame may vary due to work load at the time).
In order to install your software, the end user will have to agree to your custom End User License Agreement (EULA). Once we transfer ownership of your branded software title to you, we will provide you with documentation of the transfer.
We are committed to keeping the resale value of your software as high as possible. We understand how the software market works, and take precautions to avoid saturation of the internet, which keeps demand for our/ your products high.

FAQ: Other then "AREM", "Auto Pilot Transformer" and the tools that are offered within your "Wave MP3 Editor" - you are offering all these other applications for free off your site. How in the world do you expect me to make any money off a re-branded version?

ANSWER:

First of all you must realize that there is no such thing as a web site or company dominating a market in these days of iNet marketing. We, here at Code-it Software do not devote any time, effort or money to marketing our software - other then just developing it and publishing on our web site: you'll never see us advertising using "Google AdWords" or anywhere else (except some shareware sites that have picked up our offerings on their own). We are developers - not marketing people! This means that if you are a marketing type person, willing to put time and effort into marketing or know how to sell stuff, you'll out shine us in sales/ downloads almost instantly. We have several folks that have done just that with their re-branded software!
Making "money" may not even be the most important thing for you! How about using your re-branded software as a promotional tool (a link or banner embedded that navigates to your site). This builds customer loyalty by keeping your name in front of the user every time they activate the software. It ends up being way more effective then giving away a pen or magnet!
Another way - everyone loves free software! ANSWER: a really "off the wall" idea (one of many I day-dream about!)...

this is an idea I've been toying with for a long while: I would like to see the RIAA (and recording labels) implement it and see what happens! I may do this myself, to prove this theory, very soon on a completely new web site/ domain. Let the folks have the music (or software as the case may be) and promote the "brand" at the same time.
the plan - create a REALLY COOL t-shirt that everyone and their brother just can't live without. Have a bunch of them made to cut the cost down (prob cost would be as low as 5 or 6 $bucks).
Re-brand our 'Wave MP3 Editor', "AREM" or "My WWW Spot" software so you have freedom to distribute in what ever manner you want.
Sell the awesomely cool t-shirts for say $15.00 + S/H and with purchase give a free download to the registered version of your branded software.
You not only will make a few bucks, on every sale, but look at all the advertising you'll get for your "brand" (crowds of young folks wearing your cool t-shirt).
think of it this way: the "Eagles" create a new music CD. Have a massive amount of really cool "Eagles" t-shirts made. Attach the music CD (these CD's only cost a couple of $'s to make in large amounts) to the t-shirt and contract with Wal-Mart to sell the T's that have a tag explaining that the new CD is 100% Free (we no longer are suing teen agers and little old ladies for downloading our tunes off the iNet). Talk about a "brand" promotion: the folks will love yah!
another way to think about it: you develop a new cool looking web site/ domain that promotes the "buy the t and get the software free" idea. You sell the "t" for $15.00 + s/h and after conformation of sale give the buyer a free download to the full registered version of your re-branded "Wave MP3 Editor". The "t's" cost you say $5.13 (see how I got this quote from HERE) to have made and shipping is paid by the buyer (profit is $9.87 per sale). The re-branding cost you $5,000.00 for the Wave MP3 Editor which means that you need to make approx 507 sales of the t-shirt to break even: after that point all the profit is 100% YOURS. Do you have the marketing skills to sell 507 cool t-shirts to break even? Do you have the marketing skills to sell another 1,000 "t's" to make $9,870.00 pure profit? How much money will you make after selling 5,000 "t's"?
yet another example: you are in the business of selling MP3 Players (or get a source to buy at wholesale). Same deal - "buy the cool MP3 Player and get this software for free" OR "buy this cool software and get the MP3 Player for free". EVERYONE likes free stuff! You'll be outselling your competitors in no time.

FAQ: If I find, after offering my branded version for awhile, that I want additional features or revisions added to the software - will you be available to do these revisions?

ANSWER: That's what we do - programming! So the short answer is yes (for a reasonable fee).

FAQ: Is there any way I can get "exclusive" distribution rights of my branded software: in other words for you not to offer for public download off your site? Maybe you'd even consider putting a link to my re-branded software off your download page? How about taking it off your list of software available for re-branding?

ANSWER: If your re-branded software ever gets to a point that you want "exclusive" distribution rights we will work with you to negotiate a win-win solution: we'll consider taking our version (offered to the public) off our site or any other options you may want. This would most likely involve an extra "one-time" fee.

FAQ: Can I get the copyrights and source code to your software?

ANSWER: Most likely we can not do this unless you really have "big bucks" to spend! The reason? As an example: our Wave MP3 Editor - we have spent approx. 4 years developing/ tweaking this application to get it to it's present point. We sell over (Ooooooooops! Sorry, but I really should not disclose the amount!) of this software and re-branding services (off this site) a year. Also, the software implements quite a few 3rd party Active X dll's and OCX files. These 3rd party controls can not be transferred from us to you (of course you could register and license them all in your name if you want to spend the "big bucks"). The cost of this is just really out of reason for most folks (i.e. the licensing of the controls and the copyright/ source code of WMP3E are presently valued at approx. $125,000.00). This is what makes "re-branding" such a bargain!

BUT - got several $K to spend? Just send us a cashiers check. Most all our copyrights/ source code and possibly this web site domain is yours. We'll start all over again developing completely new/ unrelated stuff or maybe just move to a warmer climate, then Wyoming, and start selling suntan lotion to make a living!

FAQ: Can I get you to offer help and support to my users?

ANSWER: We prefer you to do so via an/ your on-line help page but we are open to any other options you may desire.

FAQ: This "re-branding" thing is very interesting to me: I would like to be the next Bill Gates (remember that Bill didn't code DOS - he bought it)! The problem is that I don't have a clue how to go about it. Can you offer any help on getting me on the fast track?

ANSWER: We are in the process of developing (in concert with a "real" marketing expert) a "How to" ebook that will offer our many years of experience and opinions of developing and marketing software. This ebook will offer advise on web site hosting, web site development, software interface/ function, how to make money by offering shareware or free software, advertising options, how to submit your software to all the shareware sites easily, "gorilla marketing" and much more.
