The "Silence
Stalker"...
Sorry there is no tutorial video for this application/ function but
here's some help!

Real time recorder that detects silence and then splits / saves the tracks separately. Great for vinyl, CD or iNet Radio recording. Anytime you have a need to record "tracks" that the splitting can be detected by silence this works great. Ever heard of "Vinyl Ripper"? This was tested against and comes out at LEAST equivalent.
This "real time recorder"
records sound on the fly - no temp files created. Encodes MP3 and wav on
the fly!
- Select recording device to use (i.e.
microphone, line-in, stereo mix - speaker output, etc...). Set volume
to approx 3/4 - your mileage may vary depending on sound card.
- Select to save as WAV or MP3 file
format (WAV is default)
- Select stereo or mono (stereo is
default)
- Select Frequency to save as (44,100
is default)
- Enter filename (file prefix - no need
to include the file extension as that is done automatically)
- Select what folder (path) to save
file in.
- Click RECORD button when ready
- Click STOP button when done..
Track Detection Configuration:
- Silence level = set as the value for
silence level to detect.
- New track after "x" seconds
= this tells the recorder to start a new recoded track after detecting
"x" amount of seconds.
- Discard tracks after "x"
amount of seconds = sets to do just that!
NOTE: every system will act differently
to these settings so it takes some tweaking to get things right: but
if/ when done it's a nice tool to automatically split a recording into tracks every
time it detects silence. Great for ripping vinyl albums, audio CD's or
iNet Radio broadcasts.
ANOTHER NOTE: I have found that this
tool will NOT WORK on certain systems! This is usually due to a faulty fan
that is transmitting noise into the sound card or some other
"hardware" thing; thus the "Silence Level" setting can
not be set properly.
