If you're a past customer of any of our
software and need an upgrade to the newest version or
other support - please email mb@code-it.com
with your needs.
You will be required to supply us with
"proof of registration" (meaning your order number or copy of
registration conformation email) to qualify for any free update!
Involves a fresh download and install.
FAQ: I had "v.what-ever" installed
(or lost due to system crash) then you gave me a free upgrade to the
newest version. The problem is that I don't like the newest version as
well. I want a download to the older version. Why won't you supply it
to me?
ANSWER: First off you were
strongly advised to backup the setup file for future use. THIS IS/ WAS
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! Secondly - you ask for the update - we didn't
solicit you doing so via any marketing campaign; therefore, here again
it was YOUR responsibility to check out what revisions were made and
determine if you really wanted it. Since the software is offered as
shareware (try before you buy) you could of easily installed and
checked it out first or at the very least read this page?
We offer updates for
a REASON - being bug fixes, added features or complying with compatibility issues. For us to supply
you with an old version, that we knew had issues, just wouldn't be cool!
We just will not do it.

Bug fixed - Recordster v7.4 -
03.29.2008:
Smashed a bug, that depending on their
system, would not allow loading of an audio file to be played within the
equalizer player. This only pertains to users that registered this
software as a stand along application - not Wave MP3 Editor users that
the application is included as a tool.
Bug reported in the "Audio
Player" Tool - 03.27.2008:
For any users that downloaded and
installed a version of Wave MP3 Editor before 03.25.2008
you have this tool that contains a bug. The player will only allow
addition (to the play-list) of MP3 files.
Here's how to correct:
- * download this file support/Audio Player.exe
- * put it (overwrite the old with the
same name) in the install path of Wave MP3 Editor. By default it is
C:\Program Files\Code-it Software\Wave MP3 Editor
- * this will replace the defective
file with the corrected one.
- * if you would prefer to receive a
new download of the full version setup (of Wave MP3 Editor) then please email
mb@code-it.com
with your request. Be sure to supply me with some sort of
"proof of registration".

Bug reported in the "Overdub
Recorder/ Mixer" Tool - 03.12.2008:
For any users that downloaded and
installed a version of Wave MP3 Editor before 03.12.2008 @ 3:42AM MST
you have this tool that contains a bug. It will most likely return an
error and exit when you attempt to play a file within the main wave
form.
Here's how to correct:
- * download this file downloads/Overdub_Recorder.exe
- * put it (overwrite the old with the
same name) in the install path of Wave MP3 Editor. By default it is
C:\Program Files\Code-it Software\Wave MP3 Editor
- * this will replace the defective
file with the corrected one.
- * if you would prefer to receive a
new download of the full version setup (of Wave MP3 Editor) then please email
mb@code-it.com
with your request. Be sure to supply me with some sort of
"proof of registration".

Stuff > Minimize crackle and hiss - when setting values reported
an error message

record (within the editor running Vista as the OS) would return an
error message if did not select to record FILE> NEW first.
- * fixed bug when "Zoom"
button clicked if no file was loaded - error message
- * added MS to the time display - per
users request
- * GREATLY improved the time it took
to play a file (within the editor) if Vista is your OS
- * moved the "Vinyl Stuff"
menu under the "Tools" menu
- * disabled menu options, to do some
other functions, if you are recording within the editor
- * added a pretty cool Audio Player -
play list options, etc.
- HERE's THE BEST PART/ NEWS!
-
With this release - it is the only audio editor, we know of, that allows you to apply effects and filters in almost "real time". In other words you can add an effect while the file is being played. Use the UNDO/ REDO functions to go back or forward while the file is being played. Makes it very handy for getting your audio files just right! I've personally spend hours amazing myself with this new feature (of course since I spent over 2 years getting this function to work it has a special meaning to me!);
-
- now a few things you might not particularly
like - had to get rid of the right and left channel bars displayed
when playing a file within the editor, removed the "Equalizer
Recorder" and "Freq Analyzer" from the tools offered
(this is due to not being able to make Vista compatible). Will give
to and instruct any XP user how to activate if requested. I have immediate
plans to create/ include a SUPER EFFECTIVE EQ Recorder in the very near future - it will
be worth the short wait!
Disclaimer: there will be a slight delay in the
playing of a loaded file within the editor with this version. If you
can't live with this - then don't upgrade but you will be missing the
"real time" editing feature plus all the added tools. It's

Changes made to "Wave MP3 Editor" -
version released 02.04.2008:
- * version number advanced to v12.0
- * slightly revised interface of the
"Song Stalker" and "Chop - via silence
detection" tools
- * added the "Time Shift"
effect as an option within the Batch Transformer tool
- * if running Vista will NOT have the
option to activate the Equalizer Recorder or Frequency Analysis tool
- they are not, and never can be,
compatible with Vista.
- * revised several screen shots and
text within the Help Browser
Changes made to "Wave MP3 Editor" -
version released 02.02.2008:
- * fixed bug in the "Overdub
Recorder/ Mixer" when Vista is the OS - bug did not affect Wins
98, 2000, XP users.
01.12.2008 - A note about Wave
Mp3 Editor (and all it's included tools) running on Windows Vista
64-bit version:
WOW! the software has just been tested to run well on a Vista 64-bit
OS!
Here is one of the systems resources
it was tested on:
- 1 Pentium Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40
Ghz
- RAM 8 Gb
- Graphics Card Nvidia 8600 GT (1 Gb DDR2)
- MotherBoard ASUS P5K-E WIFI AP
- Sound Card Realtek integrated in
MotherBoard
- 4 HD SATA2 750 Gb
- 1 HD eSATA 1 Tb
- 1 HD LaCie BigDisk
- 1 Floppy Driver
- 2 DVD ASUS SATA DRW 2014 L1T
Changes made to "Wave MP3 Editor" -
version released 01.09.2008:
- * Version number advanced to v11.9.2e
- * Recordster (real time recorder) -
added an option that you laptop
users and folks recording vinyl (using an USB audio adapter) have
been wanting for a long time. I've worked over 50 frustrating
hours to get this seemingly simple function to work! PLAYTHROUGH: hear the recording as
it is made when using an USB Adapter. You wanted it - you now
have it! DISCLAIMER: this feature not compatible when running
Vista - Win 98 to XP only.
- * fixed a bug in the Recordster
when the user clicked the timed record function, stopped then
clicked again. Was not initializing the start value.
- * fixed a bug in the
"Cut" function.
- * corrected a mis-spelling in the
editor menu

Changes made to "Wave MP3 Editor" -
version released 12.10.2007:
- * Version number advanced to v11.9.2
- * Revised the function to set the
"record source" for the editor as well as with all the
specialized recorders.
- * Added detailed help on recording
cassette tapes and vinyl. Much more info on hooking up devices,
setting the record source and such.
- * Added several functions
pertaining to restoration of vinyl recordings: a semi-automatic
method to eliminate clicks, function/ filter to remove crackle
and/ or hiss.
- * Corrected a few minor bugs- Ooooops! "Issues" as MS calls them!
Changes made to "Wave MP3 Editor" -
version released 11.27.2007:
- * Version number advanced to v11.9
- * Text 2 Audio tool - added
function to "speak" only the selected portion of the
text field. This saves you time by not having to listen to the
complete file when editing - just a section. Result of a user's
request.
- * Tune Library tool - added the
option to burn/ write to CD-R the files loaded within the player
(the play-list). Also added a slider used to select or advance to
a point of the file playing (within the player).
- * Editor - added a "Time
Shift" effect. This slows or speeds up the tempo (speed) of a
file but saves the "pitch" so that sounds normal.
- * Editor - configured the interface
for the max exposure of the file loaded within the waveform: after
all, that's what you're working on? Less clutter = better!
- * Editor - added the option of
applying 3 different "themes" as well as to select the
"skin" color. See the theme screen shots (KISS, Normal
and Cool) below...
- * Stating with this version - we no
longer offer the option to play the "selected" portion
of the wave form/ file. This is due to technical stuff required in
the process of audio playback in Vista.

Changes made to "Wave MP3 Editor" -
version released
11.03.2007:
- * version number stays the same -
v11.8
- * fixed bug in the Wave MP3 Editor
v11.8X editor (Wins 98 to XP) - if user did not click the STOP
button at the end of playing a loaded file then loaded a different
file = it would not play unless clicked the STOP button.
- auto detects the version of
Windows (including Vista) and loads the correct version of WMP3E
instead of the user having to select at startup via a menu.
- * recent revisions made - brings us
to consider this latest version stable (finally!) for MS Vista. If
you have any issue (particularly running on Vista) we would certainly
appreciate your comments < mb@code-it.com
> . It ain't over till it's over!
